Dr. Duane De Freese

Dr. De Freese supports sea turtle research and conservation. Dr. De Freese currently serves as the Vice President for Science and Business Development for AquaFiber Technologies Corporation, which is a high-tech water remediation firm capable of treating millions of gallons of surface water per day. Watch a video explaining his gift below.

Dr. Paul Somerville 

Dr. Paul Somerville supports the UCF Statistics Department. College of Sciences Development Director Ray Allen helped him set up the Dr. Paul Somerville Endowed Chair in the statistics department. Dr. Somerville was one of the founding members of the statistics department and is excited to play such an essential role in the department’s future.


Clay Newbill 

Clay Newbill supports students who study radio and television production at the UCF Nicholson School of Communication. Newbill is a pioneer and innovator of reality television beginning as a member of “The Real World” producing team. Since then, he has executive produced such popular programs as “The Bachelor” and most recently, “Shark Tank.” He created the Hollywood Internship Program for UCF students, which hires interns for Newbill’s company and subsidizes the cost of their internship in Los Angeles.
